Dr. Chen Young
Dr. Chen Young is a native to Nevada, where he was raised in Reno. He graduated from the University of Pacific with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He was actively involved in leadership in his fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Dr. Young attended the Southern California College of Optometry and did his optometric internship at the Veterans Hospital in Las Vegas, Nellis Air Force Base, and the Indian Health Services in Fort Defiance. He graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1995. He is currently practicing in a private Optometric practice at Boca Park Center, in Las Vegas. Dr. Chen Young is an involved member of the community; participates in the Asian Chamber of Commerce and the Lion's club. He is also actively involved in his profession. His affiliations include the Nevada Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and the California Optometric Association. Dr. Young is fully certified in the treatment of eye diseases and disorders. Dr. Young practices at the Boca Park location.
Dr. Stephanie Lee
Dr. Stephanie Lee has been a Las Vegas resident since 1976. She graduated from Western High School and attended UNLV. She graduated with a Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1992. She has been practicing optometry here in Las Vegas since. Dr. Lee joined Optic Gallery in 2000 with the opening of the Boca Park office. She has also been a part of our other locations at the District, Centennial Hills and the Arroyo Marketplace. Dr. Lee has enjoyed serving in local service organizations, such as the West Charleston Lions Club, the Frontier Council of the Girl Scouts, and the Blind Center of Nevada. She has participated and captained volunteer teams to Mexico to hold Eye Clinics for those in need. Dr. Lee practices at the Boca Park location and on Mondays at The District.
Dr. Jennifer Mallinger
Dr. Jennifer Mallinger was raised in southern California and graduated from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. She helped coordinate and co-write the handbook for the Tutorial Program and held many leadership positions at Sonoma State University. She did her internship in Southern California, which is devoted specifically to children with vision, reading and learning scholarships and leadership recognitions including the Vision Service Plan (VSP), Independent Practice Award, the Orange County Optometric Society Award, and the California Optometric Association. Dr. George I. Deane, Jr. Memorial Leadership Award. Dr. Mallinger is currently practicing in a private Optometric practice in Summerlin. Dr. Jennifer Mallinger is committed to educating the community in vision-related problems. Dr. Mallinger practices functional and developmental concepts in her approach to treating vision problems and enhancing vision skills. As an involved member of the community, she participates in Professionals and Youth Building A Commitment (PAYBAC), Junior League of Las Vegas, and the Asian Chamber of Commerce. She is also actively involved in her profession. Her Affiliations include the Nevada Optometric Association, and the California Optometric Association. Dr. Jennifer Mallinger is fully certified in the treatment of eye diseases, disorders, and vision-related learning deficiencies. She truly enjoys working with children and maximizes the doctor-patient relationship. Dr. Mallinger practices at the Summerlin location.
Dr. Sheryl Potter
Dr. Sheryl Potter is a Las Vegas native, born and raised! She graduated from Western High School and attended UNLV. She then completed a Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1994. Dr. Potter has been practicing in Las Vegas since then. She joined the Optic Gallery in 2004 at the Boca Park Location and is also a partner at the Centennial Hills Office. When Dr. Potter isn't working, she is at home enjoying her time with her daughter and son. Dr. Potter practices at the Boca Park location.
Dr. Lawrence Wang
Dr. Lawrence Wang graduated from UC Berkeley as a molecular and cell biologist in 1995. He then completed his Doctorate in 2000 from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. He enjoys taking care of his patients, spending time with his two baby girls, playing tennis, supporting public radio, and is a competitive ballroom dancer. Dr. Wang practices at the Centennial location.
Dr. Roger Paez
Dr. Paez is a native of Las Vegas and graduated from UNLV. He graduated from Bishop Gorman High School and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He was actively involved in leadership as a member of the UNLV Tennis Team, Nevada Tennis Association, and the Association of Health Professionals. Dr. Paez attended the Inter-American School of Optometry and did his optometric internships at the Kendall Eye Institute in Miami, Center for Better Vision in Boca Raton, Eye Freedom Clinic in Miami, and several hospitals located in Puerto Rico. During his optometric education, Dr. Paez was Student Council President, AOA Student Leadership Award Recipient, Deans Leadership Award Recipient, and placed second in the National Optometry Super Bowl. He graduated from the Inter-American School of Optometry in 2004. He is currently practicing in private practice with Optic Gallery and is President of the Southern Nevada Optometric Society. Dr. Roger Paez is proudly involved in his community; he participates in the Nevada Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and the United States Tennis Association. Dr. Paez is fully certified in the treatment of eye diseases and disorders. Dr. Paez practices at the Eastern & Flamingo location.
Dr. Nicole Yontz
Dr. Nicole Yontz was raised in Chicago and has resided in Las Vegas since 1993. She graduated for Bishop Gorman High School and received her Bachelor of Science from UNLV. She graduated from Inter-American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry. During her optometry studies, she enjoyed going on humanitarian missions to places such as Dominican Republic to provide eyecare to patients in need. Dr. Yontz has been with Optic Gallery since 1998 until she became a practicing doctor in 2006. Dr. Yontz heads up the newest Optic Gallery location at Arroyo Market Square at the 215 and Rainbow interchange. Dr. Yontz practices at the Rainbow & 215 location.
Dr. Steve Nguyen
Dr. Steve Nguyen graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1992. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California Irvine in 1988, with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Nevada Optometric Association. Dr. Nguyen has mainly been in private practice since 1992, and has gained extensive experience in primary Optometric care, medical management of eye diseases, contact lenses and refractive surgery co-management. Dr. Nguyen and his family have resided in Henderson, Nevada since 2002 from San Jose, California. In his spare time he enjoys tennis, bicycling and spending time with his three kids. Dr. Nguyen practices at the Green Valley location in the District.
Dr. Larry Perez
Dr. Larry Perez was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He was an active participant of the UNM Lobos Soccer Team. Dr. Perez attended the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, School of Optometry where he became board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. Dr. Perez is a member of the American Optometric Association, and the Nevada Optometric Association. He will be working at our newest location at Arroyo Market Square. He lives in Las Vegas with his wife, Dr. Nair Borges. Dr. Perez practices at the Rainbow & 215 location.
