Dr. Chen Young

Dr. Chen Young is a native to Nevada, where he was raised in Reno and graduated from Reed High School. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Pacific with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He was actively involved in leadership in his fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Dr. Young attended the Southern California College of Optometry and did his optometric internship at the Veterans Hospital in Las Vegas, Nellis  Air Force Base, and the Indian Health Services in Fort Defiance.

He graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1995. He is  currently practicing in a private Optometric practice at the Boca Park location, in Las Vegas. Dr. Chen Young is an involved member of the  community; participates in the Asian Chamber of Commerce and the current Chairman of the Asian Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee.

He is also actively involved in his profession. His affiliations include the Nevada Optometric Association and the American Optometric Asocciation. Dr. Young was appointed by Governor Brian Sandoval to serve on the Nevada State Board of Optometry. As the current President of the Board, he serves to ensure high professional standards throughout the State. Dr. Young has three children and has been a sponsor, manager, and a coach with the Summerlin Little League for many years.

Dr. Stephanie Lee

Dr. Stephanie Lee has been a Las Vegas resident since 1976. She graduated from Western High School and attended UNLV. She graduated with a Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1992. She has been practicing optometry here in Las Vegas since. Dr. Lee joined Optic Gallery in 2000 with the opening of the Boca Park office. She has also been a part of our other locations at the District, Centennial Hills and the Arroyo Marketplace.

Dr. Lee has enjoyed serving in local service organizations, such as the West Charleston Lions Club, the Frontier Council of the Girl Scouts, and the Blind Center of Nevada. She has participated and captained volunteer teams to Mexico to hold Eye Clinics for those in need. Dr. Lee practices at the Boca Park location and on Mondays at The District.


Dr. Steve Nguyen

Dr. Steve Nguyen

Dr. Steve Nguyen graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1992. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California Irvine in 1988, with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Nevada Optometric Association.

Dr. Nguyen has mainly been in private practice since 1992, and has gained extensive experience in primary Optometric care, medical management of eye diseases, contact lenses and refractive surgery co-management.

Dr. Nguyen and his family have resided in Henderson, Nevada since 2002 from San Jose, California. In his spare time he enjoys tennis, bicycling and spending time with his three kids. Dr. Nguyen practices at the Green Valley location in the District and Seven Hills.


Dr. Larry Perez

Dr. Perez was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He was an active participant of the UNM Lobos Soccer Team.

Dr. Perez attended the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, School of Optometry where he became board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease in 2007. Dr. Perez is a member of the American Optometric Association, and the Nevada Optometric Association.

He will be working at the Arroyo Market Square. He lives in Las Vegas with his wife, Dr. Nair Borges, and his two daughters. Dr. Perez practices at the Rainbow & 215 location


Dr. Nair Borges

Dr. Borges was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and was raised in Yauco, Puerto Rico. She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. During her undergraduate studies, she participated in biology externship programs at University of Missouri Saint Louis and Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Borges attended the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, School of Optometry where she became board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease in 2007. Dr. Borges started practicing in Nevada in 2008. She lives in Southwest Las Vegas with her husband, Dr. Larry Perez, and her two daughters. Dr. Borges is currently practicing at our Boca Park and Arroyo Market Square locations.


Dr. Wess Jordan

Dr. Wess Jordan

Dr. Wess Jordan was born and raised in Southern California where he earned a degree in biology from the University of California, San Diego. He attended the Southern California College of Optometry where he graduated with magna cum laude honors after four additional years of training and education. While in training, Dr. Jordan gained extensive experience in various fields of optometry. His training was completed at the Wellish Vision Institute here in Las Vegas, the Veteran’s Hospital in Tucson, and at the National Naval Medical Center in Maryland. Dr. Jordan elected to pursue residency training to further his education at the Veteran’s Hospital of Las Vegas. During residency, Dr. Jordan examined over 3,000 patients, many with advanced eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetes. Dr. Jordan and his wife, Dr. Andrea Radtke, opened their private practice in 2012 where they both practice today. Dr. Jordan practices full scope optometry, not just glasses and contact lenses. He is certified and licensed by the state of Nevada to treat and manage ocular diseases such as infectious conditions, glaucoma, cataracts, and dry eye disease.

Since graduation, Dr. Jordan has focused on the specialty contact lens aspect of his practice in which he has completed numerous post-graduate courses and training to expand his experience in this field. He is certified to fit and prescribe a wide range of specialty contact lenses for corneal conditions including keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration, post-LASIK and post-radial keratotomy among others. He is also certified to fit and prescribe contact lenses for orthokeratology (ortho-k) which can slow the progression of near sightedness while eliminating the need to wear contact lenses during the day. Dr. Jordan is currently accepting new patients at our West Lake Mead Blvd location.


Dr. Andrea Radtke

Dr. Andrea Radtke

Dr. Radtke earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of California, Riverside. While attending UCR, Dr. Radtke became very involved in various research projects and her work has since been published in the Journal of Experimental Biology.

Dr. Radtke then went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry. She completed her training at the VA Hospital in Las Vegas, the VA Hospital in Tucson, Arizona and at the Lawton Indian Hospital in Oklahoma. Her dedication and hard work earned her the Alvin Applebuam Endowed Scholarship for Excellence in Family Practice Optometry.

Dr. Radtke is Board Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease. She is also a member of the Nevada Optometric Association as well as the American Optometric Association. Dr. Radtke enjoys taking care of patients of all ages, although she particularly enjoys pediatric eye care. She also has a special interest in fitting contact lenses of all types, including multifocal contacts. Dr. Radtke practices with her husband, Dr. Wess Jordan at the Summerlin location on W. Lake Mead Blvd and Buffalo


Dr. Hilaire Pressley

Dr. Hilaire Pressley

Dr. Pressley was born and raised in Las Vegas where she graduated with honors from UNLV in 1996. She received her Doctorate from the University Of Houston College Of Optometry in 2001. Dr. Pressley completed a residency, through Pacific University, in Ocular Disease, Refractive and Ocular Surgery. She is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), and is the AOA-Political Action Committee (PAC) Representative for Nevada.

She is the Immediate Past President of the Nevada Optometric Association (NOA) and is currently the PAC- Rep for the NOA. In 2017 Dr. Pressley was selected as the Nevada Director for the Great Western Council of Optometry and is the Nevada Ambassador for the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Pressley is board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease and practices full scope primary eye care including ocular disease, pediatrics, advanced contact lens fittings and geriatric care.

Dr. Pressley offers pre and post op care for cataract and refractive procedures and has a special interest in corneal pathology and treatment. In 2013 Dr. Pressley received the Outstanding Service and Leadership award from the NOA. In 2012 she became the first Optometrist in Nevada to become a Diplomat of the American Board of Optometry. Outside of work she enjoys gardening, music and hiking.


Dr. Todd Hartman

Dr. Todd Hartman

Dr. Todd Hartman received his undergraduate degrees Biology and Chemistry from Oregon State University. He received his doctor of optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry. His clinical training includes externship rotations at Portland Medical Center, Tyndall Air Force Hospital, Crystal Vision Eye Institute, and the Spark M. Matsunaga Vetrans Hospital. Dr. Hartman was then chosen for and completed a post graduate residency in Ocular Disease, Refractive and Ocular Surgery with Eye Care Associates of Nevada where he gained extensive experience managing patients who had undergone Lasik, Cataract, Glaucoma and various other ocular surgeries.

After residency Dr. Hartman was in private practice in Colorado for several years prior to returning to Nevada where he was the Clinical Director and Medical Optometrist of Eye Care Associates of Nevada. While there he trained numerous students and residents over the next 5 years and served as an adjunct clinical professor to Pacific University College of Optometry. Dr. Hartman has served as a clinical investigator in numerous FDA phase three clinical trials and has lectured both locally and around the country.

Dr. Hartman is board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease, he is additionally certified in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. Dr. Hartman practices complete eye care, ranging all the way from pediatric to geriatric patients, ocular emergencies and trauma and both acute and chronic ocular disease. Dr. Hartman additionally focuses on contact lens fitting for difficult to fit corneas including Keratoconus, Pellucid Marginal Degeneration, and Post Refractive Ectasias.

Dr. Hartman is a longtime member of both the Nevada Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Hartman is very active both in his profession and his local community. Dr. Hartman is currently accepting new patients at both his Centennial Center/Ann road and His Centennial Hills locations.

 


Dr. Wess Jordan

Dr. Ka-Yan “Sandi” Cheung

Dr. Cheung was born in Hong Kong and raised in Las Vegas. She attended Bishop Gorman High School and then the University of San Diego where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. In 2010, Dr. Cheung earned her Doctorate degree from the Southern California College of Optometry.

To further her training and clinical skills, Dr. Cheung completed a residency in refractive surgery and ocular disease at Eyecare Associates of Nevada. While there, she gained extensive experience managing patients who had undergone LASIK, cataract, glaucoma, and other ocular surgeries.

Dr. Cheung enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and snowboarding. She is also an avid yogi and cross fitter. Dr. Cheung practices at our Sahara/Decatur location.


Dr. Joseph Lao

Dr. Joseph Lao

Dr. Joseph Lao was born and raised in Las Vegas. He is a Bishop Gorman High School alum and had earned his Bachelor of Sciences Degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. In May 2013, Dr. Lao graduated from Western University College of Optometry.

He had completed internships at various locations including: the special populations and vision therapy focused Alderwood Vision Care Therapy Center (WA), Ernest Childers Veteran Affairs Outpatient Clinic (OK), The Villages V.A.Hospital (FL) and the Lyons/East Orange V.A. Outpatient Hospital (NJ).

He has participated in multiple community vision projects such as Angels for Sight, Lion’s Club Vision screenings, CareNOW L.A., and the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) mission trip to villages in Peru.

Upon graduation, he was presented with the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) Award for Excellence in Vision Therapy at Western University. He conducts vision therapy and binocular vision evaluations including technology which analyzes eye movements while reading.

Vision therapy may alleviate struggles and enhance visual abilities for:

  • Learning-related Vision Issues
  • Poor Binocular Coordination or Eye-teaming
  • Convergence Insufficiency
  • Amblyopia (often referred to as “lazy” eye)

Dr. Elizabeth Peguese

Dr. Elizabeth Peguese

Dr. Elizabeth Peguese is a Las Vegas native who completed her undergraduate education at the University of Nevada, Reno. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. Peguese acquired an intense education in managing patients with corneal irregularities and fitting specialty contact lenses while completing a post-graduate residency in Cornea and Contact Lens from the University of Houston College of Optometry.

Dr. Peguese practices full scope optometry including primary eye care, treatment, and management of ocular disease, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Although she enjoys all aspects of optometry, she has a special interest in treating patients with corneal diseases and irregularities such as Keratoconus, Pellucid Marginal Degeneration, and post-surgical irregularities while managing them with specialty contact lenses. She earned the distinction of being a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 2015. Dr Peguese is also a member of the American Optometric Association and the Nevada Optometric Association. Outside of work some her favorite pastimes are exercising and spending time with her husband and two dogs.


Dr. Melissa Beaty

Dr. Melissa Beaty has been a Las Vegas resident since 1986. She graduated from Cimarron-Memorial High School before attending UNLV. She graduated with a Doctor of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2007. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Nevada Optometric Association.

Dr. Beaty enjoys giving back to her community. She has been involved in local Lions Clubs, including the Summerlin Lions Club as well as the Diabetes Wellness Lions Club. For her service, she was designated a Fellow of the Lions SightFirst Foundation of Southern Nevada. The Fellow award is the highest honor the foundation bestows on an individual.

When not working, Dr. Beaty enjoys spending time with her daughter. Her most common free time activities include quick trips to Disneyland or catching the latest musical at the Smith Center.

Dr. Elizabeth Suh

Dr. Elizabeth Suh
Elizabeth Suh, OD, is an expert optometrist at Optic Gallery Fort Apache in Las Vegas. Dr. Suh is known for her kindness and compassion and takes her time with patients, educating them about their vision and eye care needs.

After completing her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at the University of California in Irvine, Dr. Suh went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Dr. Suh completed her clinical training where she focused on ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, geriatrics, and neuro-optometric care. Dedicated to her profession, Dr. Suh was actively involved in leadership, as she served as President of her class, community services, and conducted clinical research while earning her doctorate.

Dr. Suh is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Optometric Association and the Nevada Optometric Association. She participated with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) on several mission trips to provide free eye care and eyewear to underprivileged communities including Mexico, Peru, and El Salvador. She has received numerous leadership and service awards and honors during her professional career and regularly participates in community service to provide vision screenings to those in need. Dr. Suh practices full-scope eye care including ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, dry eyes, diabetic eye care, pediatric, emergency eye care, and co-management of LASIK and cataracts. Dr. Suh is Board Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease.

To better meet the needs of her diverse community, Dr. Suh is fluent in English and Korean, and can conduct examinations in Spanish as well.

When she’s not busy helping improve her patient’s vision, Dr. Suh loves spending time with her husband Dr. Eusebio and children, trying new local restaurants, and traveling the world.

Dr. Richard Eusebio was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). After earning his undergraduate degree, Dr. Eusebio continued his education at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Optometry where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Eusebio completed his clinical training at VA Earnest Childers Outpatient Clinic in Oklahoma, Mind Eye Connection in Illinois, Naval Medical Center in San Diego, and VA The Villages Outpatient Clinic in Florida where he focused on ocular disease, geriatrics, low vision, and neuro-optometric care.

Dr. Eusebio is a proud member of the American Optometric Association as well as an active member of the Nevada Optometric Association. Dr. Eusebio is Board Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease. Dr. Eusebio practices full-scope eye care including dry eyes, pediatric exams, geriatric exams, ocular disease, specialty contact lenses and co-management of LASIK and cataracts.

Dr. Eusebio and his wife, Dr. Elizabeth Suh, are proud owners of the Optic Gallery Fort Apache/Tropicana. Dr. Eusebio is passionate about performing the most comprehensive eye exams with top-of-the-line equipment and providing thorough, quality care to his patients. Dr. Eusebio speaks English, understands Tagalog, and can conduct examinations in Spanish. In his spare time, Dr. Eusebio enjoys family time with his children, supporting the Los Angeles Lakers, exercising, and traveling.


Dr. Julie Alamo-Leon

Dr. Alamo-Leon is a native of Las Vegas and went to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She completed her doctorate degree in Optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton (Marshall B. Ketchum University) in 1994. Dr. Alamo-Leon has been an Associate of the Optic Gallery since 2002. Dr. Alamo-Leon does full scope Optometry and is board certified in Nevada to use Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents which allows her to treat ocular diseases of the eye. Dr. Alamo-Leon has been President and Secretary of the Southern Nevada Optometry Society and has been a speaker at the “See and Ski” Continuing Education Para Optometric Program.

Dr. Alamo-Leon is married to Raimundo F. Leon, M.D. and they have two children. She is active in the community and has been on the Board of the Clark County Medical Society Alliance. She participates as a Volunteer and Sponsor for several charity organizations including the National Charity League, the Opportunity Village, and the Miracle League of Las Vegas.

Dr. Angela Hahn

Dr. Angela Hahn was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. Later, she moved to California and went to the University of California, Los Angeles where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology. In 2000, she received her Doctorate of Optometry degree and Bachelor of Science degree in Vision Science from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Hahn’s clinical training includes externship rotations at the Providence VA Medical Center, Beaufort Naval Hospital, Parris Island Marine Corp Medical Clinic, Hine VA Blind Rehabilitation Center, and Sidney Hillman Health Center. She moved to Reno, NV after graduating optometry school where she began her optometry practice. In 2003, she moved to Henderson, NV to continue her practice. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Nevada Optometric Association. She is Board Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease. Dr. Hahn enjoys practicing full scope optometry and seeing patients of all ages.


Dr. Nicole Yontz

Dr. Erin Frillarte

Dr. Erin Frillarte was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. She attended Cimarron-Memorial High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno. She then earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry and graduated in 2012.

She completed her internship at several locations including Hoopes Vision near Salt Lake City, Utah, Veterans Administration Southern Nevada Healthcare System in Las Vegas, NV, and Lawton Indian Health Service in Lawton, Oklahoma. Following graduation, she wished to further her clinical education and was accepted in a residency program at the Southern Arizona Veterans Affairs Healthcare System in Tucson, AZ, focused in Ocular Disease and Low Vision.

Dr. Frillarte is certified in treating and managing ocular disease, as well as experience in primary care, ocular emergencies, contact lenses, and surgical co-management. She enjoys treating patients of all ages and is very passionate about providing the utmost quality of care for her patients. In her free time, she loves to try new restaurants, travel, and spend time with her family and friends.


Dr. Andrea Radtke

Dr. Alaina Lavine is a native of Las Vegas and graduated from Silverado High School. During her schooling, Dr. Lavine was a staff member at the District location of Optic Gallery where she performed the pretesting. She attended The Ohio State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. In 2013, Dr. Lavine earned her Doctorate degree from Western University College of Optometry in Pomona, California. She graduated with honors and became board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease.

Dr. Lavine spent her first year practicing in Southern California where she gained extensive experience in primary Optometric care, medical management of eye diseases, contact lenses and refractive surgery co-management. She then moved back to Las Vegas and rejoined the Optic Gallery group. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Nevada Optometric Association.

Outside of work, Dr. Lavine enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her husband and two daughters. She practices at the District location and is currently accepting new patients.


Dr. Eric Bendicion

Dr. Eric Bendicion

(Dr. B) was born and raised in Anaheim, CA. He received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Biology from the University of California, Irvine. In 2018, he graduated with honors from the Illinois College of Optometry.

During his time in school, Dr. B completed his externship rotations at the James H Quillen VA Medical Center in Johnson City, TN, McCormick Vision in Austin, TX, and Georgia Eye Partner’s in Atlanta, GA. Following graduation, Dr. B became board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. He is also a member of the Nevada Optometric Association.

In his free time, Dr. B enjoys photography, hiking, and working out. He also likes to travel and try new restaurants with his wife. Dr. B works at the N. Durango office.


Dr. Whitley

Dr. Whitley

Dr. Whitley received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2008. He is a 2014 graduate of Pacific University College of Optometry, where he earned the Dean’s Award for “academic excellence and commitment to fulfill the university’s mission”. He gained a wide range of clinical experience through externship rotations at Orion Eye Center (Redmond, OR), Dr. James Cornetta and Associates (Portsmouth, VA), Hickam Air Force Base (Hawaii), and the Sierra Nevada VA Eye Clinic.

Following graduation, he completed an optometric residency in ocular disease, refractive and ocular surgery at Eye Care Associates of Nevada. He provides diagnosis and treatment for various ocular conditions, including dry eye disease, allergies, infections, glaucoma and diabetes-related vision problems, as well as conducting evaluations for cataract surgery and refractive surgery. Dr. Whitley is Board Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease. He is currently adjunct faculty for Pacific University College of Optometry. He also serves as the Chairperson for the Nevada Optometric Association Innovations Committee.

In his free time, Dr. Whitley enjoys supporting Nevada athletics, beer tasting, golf, softball, and going to the gym.


Dr. Keith Shimizu

Dr. Keith Shimizu

Dr. Keith Shimizu examine, diagnose, treat and manage diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures as well as identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye.

Education: Bachelor of Science, Applied Ecology in 2008. Western University of Health Sciences. Obtained his Doctor of Optometry in 2014.

Dr. Michelle T Chen

Dr. Michelle T Chen is a modern day optometrist who believes in providing care that is science based while personalized. This means tailoring treatments with the patient’s lifestyle and overall health in mind. She believes in the importance of not only seeing clearly, but having the eyes feel its best.

Dr. Chen received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles. While at UCLA, she worked at the Retina division of Jules Stein Eye Institute where she developed a fascination with eyes. She went on to earn her doctorates at Pennsylvania College of Optometry, now known as Salus University. As a student, Dr. Chen was the founder and President of the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA) chapter at Salus University. Dr. Chen also served as the President of College of Optometrist in Vision Development (COVD).

Dr. Chen is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Optometric Association, College of Optometrist in Vision Development (COVD), Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA), and the Nevada Optometric Association. She participated with Student Optometric Service to Humanity (SOSH) on missions trips to provide free eye care and eyewear to underprivileged communities in El Salvador. Dr. Chen started her career in Las Vegas with a children’s charity that aimed to provide eye care and eyewear for children in low-income communities. Dr. Chen was awarded high honors in clinical skills for advanced pediatrics along with numerous leadership and service awards from the community.

Dr. Chen practices full-scope eye care. Her clinical interests include ocular disease, specialty contact lens, dry eyes, diabetic eye care, pediatric, emergency eye care, and co-management of LASK and cataracts. Dr. Chen is Board Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease. To better serve the community, Dr. Chen is fluent in English and Mandarin.
When she is not providing care for her patients, you are likely to find Dr. Chen whipping up new cuisines at home, dreaming about her next Disneyland trip or planning her next travel adventure with her fiance.

Dr. Kristin Heilman

Dr. Kristin Heilman grew up in Sandy, UT. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Music from the University of Utah. In 2019, Dr. Lee earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry (Marshall B. Ketchum University) in Fullerton, California. Dr. Lee strives to provide thorough, quality care to her patients. She enjoys providing full-scope optometry to patients of all ages.

Dr. Heilman completed her externship rotations at the University Eye Center of Los Angeles, VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, Ketchum Health in Anaheim, and VA Salt Lake City Health Care System. She is a member of the Nevada Optometric Association and is Board Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease.

After graduating, Dr. Heilman decided to move to Las Vegas as it was the best of both worlds between California and Utah. She was introduced to Optic Gallery and was thrilled to become part of the Optic Gallery Family. In her free time, Dr. Lee enjoys cooking, movies, games, traveling, and hanging out with her friends and family. Dr. Lee is currently accepting new patients at our Arroyo, N. Durango, Boca Park, Blue Diamond, and Sahara offices.


Dr. Anthony Joseph Uy

Dr. Anthony Joseph Uy attended Bishop Gorman High School before earning his Bachelor of Sciences Degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He attended the College of Optometry at Western University of Health Sciences (Pomona, CA) and completed his schooling as a member of the Gold Key Optometric Honor Society and Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society.

Dr. Uy’s internships include Ernest Childers Veteran Affairs Outpatient Clinic (OK), Lyons Veteran Affairs Outpatient Hospital (NJ), Vision Health Institute (FL), and the San Diego Center for Vision Care (CA).

When not practicing optometry, Dr. Uy enjoys cooking, singing, traveling, and discussing all things Marvel, Star Wars, and Disney.

He is currently accepting patients at the Nellis, Arroyo, and Blue Diamond locations.


Dr. Justin Ng

Dr. Ng was born in San Francisco, CA. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences at California State University Sacramento and his Doctorate degree from Illinois College of Optometry. During his time in school, Dr. Ng completed his externship rotations at VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System in Las Vegas, NV, Ochsner Medical Center in Metarie, LA, and Vision Source in Midwest City, OK. Following graduation, Dr. Ng completed a residency program in ocular disease and primary care at VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System and became board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. In his free time, Dr. Ng enjoys working out, gaming, snowboarding, and craft beer tasting.


Dr. Anne Valdez


Anne Valdez, OD, is a board-certified optometrist and the founder of Optic Gallery Horizon Ridge. Dr. Valdez and her highly trained team of optometrists offer personalized eye care to individuals and families in Henderson, Nevada.

Dr. Valdez spent her childhood in Las Vegas, Nevada. She attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), graduating with her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences (concentrating on cell and molecular biology).

Upon completion, she pursued her doctorate in optometry (OD) at Marshall B. Ketchum University’s Southern California College of Optometry in 2018. During her time there, she was also the president of the Optometry Private Practice Club and volunteered at several outreach clinics.

Passionate about obtaining a wide range of experiences, she completed advanced training at Camp Zama Health Clinic in Japan, Four Corners Regional Health Center in Arizona, as well as the Wellish Vision Institute in Las Vegas. Dr. Valdez is certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease, and she holds special interest in ocular surface diseases and specialty contact lenses.


Dr. Matt Sisson

Dr. Matt Sisson is passionate about providing personal, quality patient care. He truly enjoys building relationships with each one of his patients, and taking time to educate them about their eye care. He works to build collaborative partnerships with patients, families and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive treatment and support. As a primary care Optometrist, he manages many types of eye diseases, conditions and functional vision concerns for patients across the lifespan.

Dr. Sisson was born and raised in eastern Virginia, and graduated from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. After spending the next four years in San Diego working in the accounting field, he returned to Virginia in 2006, where he discovered his passion for eye care during a routine visit with his Optometrist.

Dr. Sisson’s love for the western United States and aspirations for a career change brought him to Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon, where he received his Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree with honors in 2014, and was a four-year member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society. He completed internships with the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Reno, Hickam Air Force Base Eye Clinic in Hawaii, as well as surgical/medical clinics in central Oregon.

Upon graduation, Dr. Sisson practiced in Reno with Dr. Al Dufur, before moving to Bend, OR, where he worked in a family eye care practice specializing in Vision Therapy. However, his love for Reno and the beautiful Sierras brought him back ‘home’ to northern Nevada once again.
In his spare time, Dr. Sisson enjoys traveling, trail running and backpacking with his wife and 2 dogs. He also loves playing and listening to music, as well as snowboarding, mountain biking, fly fishing, golf and finding any other excuse to stay active and outside.


Dr. Maria Felix


Dr. Maria Felix was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a minor in Education Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles and her Doctorate of Optometry Degree from the Southern California College of Optometry.

Her clinical training includes externship rotations at Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital (Oceanside, CA), NVISION Eye Center (Newport Beach, CA), South Central Family Health Center (Huntington Park, CA), Castle Family Health Center (Atwater, CA), and the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System (Las Vegas, NV).

Upon graduation, Dr. Felix completed a residency program in Ocular Disease at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys seeing patients of all ages. In her free time, Dr. Felix enjoys spending time with friends and family and trying new food across the Las Vegas Valley.
